- Done the 2D platfomer tutorial
- Created my own level
Notes:
When I first tried to play the game, I managed to fall into the abyss and I was surprised that Ellen does not die but falls forever. That's why I wanted to create a level where you need to fall in order to win. The biggest challenge for me were the info posts - it took me several tries to be able to change their text (since the example Zones use a dictionary with translations which was difficult to find). I am not happy with the blue surroundings which can be seen around the background in the level but I was not able to fix it.
Invested time:
- Installations: 40 minutes
- Tutorial: 1 hour
- Creating my own level: 1 hour 20 minutes
Outcome:

I like that idea, the result is very cute! Though I do hope you tried out the other 2D game kit features in the tutorial as well :)
One other thing - it's a shame there isn't some sort of ending to it as well. Maybe another door opens or the player teleports to a new location again. Something to give more closure and not let the player repeat the now outdated dialogue.
Take this as food for thought for your next assignment.
